I personally don't ever care about Alexa rankings, I find them highly flawed, but I went there today to avoid other work, and it says 80% of users here come from Australia? Is anyone here from there that I don't know of? Just thought it was a little odd.
Are there any other ranks for websites apart from Alexa or PageRank?
We use Google Analytics (free service) for internal monitoring of website traffic and usage. It provides much more details and exact data than lousy Alexa (which depends much on the popularity of Alexa Toolbar).
I used to use google analytics too, haven't in a long time though. I like awstats for my stats, in cpanel.
Oh that AU issue could be many IP Blocks in apnic still not reflected correctly. ALEXA is crap. Install alexa toolbar and access few times your own site and ranking bumps up.
