I have to admit, when I started with phpcow it was EXTREMELY overwhelming for me, I'm no coder. I think that having to learn 'cow' language too was difficult, and the fact that their documentation/support was beyond lacking didn't help. I bought my script about 2 years ago and I have to say that if you thinking their lacking NOW with support/documentation...back then was even worse.
My point to writing this is that I admit (and others I think would too) that there is a definitely learning curve with this script and its frustrating as HELL...but in the end, if you stick with it, let our community here help you out, you will be amazed at what you can do with this script.
Anyone else want to admit there beginning experience with starting their first phpcow website???
One month going thru details and their online help was sufficient to get hold of everything. Yes add to that three/four times questions on livehelp. Patience is the key. If one is in a hurry they can never learn for sure and end up being frustrated all the more.
Hello, yes I am beginning too. But I am frustrated for waiting from answer about Phpcow support and answer on this forum. I was thinking that to buy the phpcow licence, it will be more easy for me to have help, but it isn't !
No help, no answer, the CMS php cow doesn't work, I have this fuc...g soap error and can't change my templates without error message. So if I knew this before, I had never buy this licence ! We can have more help with the open source community ! And here the guys take money and that's all, it's amazing !!!!
I just want a support or some help to build my website with phpcow (when it works, I think it should be nice, but for me at the moment, it doesn' t work...) CMS, or if it is not possible to have phpcow working without error message, I would like to get back my money ! That's all I want, because I am loosing my time, my money and I need to build my website very quickly ! Is someone could understand this ?
I've been banging my head against the wall since I bought my license years ago too. The phpcow dudes never have had good support, and some how expect this is a "simple" script to work which IMHO is NOT true! I have support tickets and forum posts over there for months no with no real answers and I feel your frustration. Did they do your install for you? Just curious how they didn't catch this error.
No they didn't make this install for me. It is me and I had respect the CHmod 666, upload the patch with licence (and folders cowadmin, tpllib, index.php), login to cowadmin and do my Sql synchronization.
And after : SOAP ERROR !!
